Intervention

Advocates are available 24/7 to offer confidential support, information, and referrals to other services. We can provide a safe place for survivors to stay when they are fleeing abusive situations. Our advocates can offer transportation if necessary to court proceedings, appointments, collaborative meetings with other agencies, and more. Collaborative teamwork by our advocates and therapists allows us to offer a variety of direct services to victims and survivors of violence in crisis and on the journey to healing.

Prevention

SAFE Center staff strives to stop violence before it happens and to cultivate a culture that stands up against it.

The S.A.F.E. Center is committed to stopping violence before it occurs. What can we do in our communities, organizations, and coalitions to increase and improve sexual violence prevention efforts? This question has many challenges and obstacles because of the conversation surrounding prevention.

What does prevention look like? Prevention work is not typically visible immediately as compared to crisis support. Prevention encompasses many programs, approaches, and strategies designed to promote healthy environments and behaviors, while preventing unhealthy ones.
