Head Start provides children (ages 0-5) from low-income families services for early learning, healthcare support (medical, dental, and mental health), and family well-being. This early intervention provides children with school readiness and helps ensure the health and safety of the families. In 2019, Head Start served 130 children, ages 3-4.
Head Start believes that the parent is the child's first and primary teacher. Parents know their children best and are looking upon as partners in their child's Early Head Start or Head Start experience.
