United Way works with many partners on the community impact initiatives. Some are our tradtional nonprofit partner agencies. But there are other nonprofits, private businesses and government agencies that work with us to build these strong initiatives.
Annual timeline for new agency admission.
October 30 - Interested agencies complete a Request for Funding packet with all attachments and policies.
November - Community Impact Committee or Executive Committee reviews packets of potential agencies and forwards acceptable packets for next Board Meeting.
January - Agency makes a presentation at the full board meeting. Board members take an initial vote to admit agency, under a 2-year probation period.
April - Agency Participates in Community Investment presentations.
May - Agencies receive initial notice of allocation amount. Agencies in initial probation period do not have right to appeal.
June - Final allocations are approved and agency agreement signed for the allocation year.
