Give Where You Live 2020
December 3, 2020
Our Goal for Give Where You Live this year was $20,000. A BIG thank you goes out to everyone who donated to United Way and who shared
positive messages about why they chose to do so. After a long day of donations we were able to meet and exceed our $20,000 goal.
We are beyond thankful and can't wait to continue Building A Better Tomorrow thanks to your help!
Gloves and Hats
November 4, 2020
We were able to help distribute 1900 gloves and 1400 hats to elementary schools in the Kearney Area. This project was supported by local
donars and funding from the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act) from the U.S. Department of Treasury and the
Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, CFDA Number 21.019. We're thrilled to help kids start the winter season ready and warm!
Coats for Kids
Last spring Buffalo County County Goodfellows, Kearney Elks Lodge No. 984, Kearney Kiwanis clubs, and United Way of the Kearney Area
decided to work together and began asking churches and service organizaitons to consider supporting the upcoming project as one community
initiative. This project was awarded the CARES grant that later helped fund a portion of the coat drive. Nearly 1, 300 children in the kearney
area will now start the winter season with warm coats, gloves, and hats.
