In Kearney & Buffalo counties, there are an average of 60 new cases of child abuse/neglect each year.

CASA Volunteers are a constant presence throughout the court process for children in these court cases. Volunteers gather information about the child, attend all meetings and court hearings, report the facts, make educated recommendations to the judge, and advocate for the safety and well-being of the child. Children who are assigned a CASA volunteer are more likely to receive vital health care, appropriate education, therapy services, and a safe, permanent home.
