Day of Caring - Community Baby Shower

United Way of the Kearney Area is pleased to announce the 2010 Day of Caring-"Community Baby Shower"--for the new Early Head Start Program-- will take place September 25th, 2010 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Early Head Start program is a new program for Community Action Partnership of Mid-Nebraska. 48 women and children will be served in total this first year. Through 4 classrooms they will be serving 28 infants and toddlers.  Offices include:  One for the 2 family educators that will serve the outlying areas (20 pregnant women, infants and/or toddlers), Program Manager/Nurse office, and the main entry office.  

United Way is committed to helping Children and Youth Succeed and will be hosting a Community Baby Shower in support of this program. We are inviting the community to help prepare the program's classrooms (and offices) for the new arrivals. A variety of donations are needed to help the program including: Appliances, Kitchen Supplies, Toys, Diapers, Wipes, Bottles, Medical Supplies, Office supplies, as well as volunteers to help set-up classrooms, cribs, changing tables and other items.
